About Us

I am a Disabled Marine and as a Marine we never left anyone behind and the same goes for these animals. The mothers and litters don’t need to be tossed out like yesterday's garbage, the disabled and seniors like me, so I started my rescue.  

I started out by rescuing bigger and older cats that were not adoptable because they were not cute and they were old and big or broken.  I started Companion Care, finding those who are homebound and seniors who needed companions. Now I rescue Mothers with litters or just litters of both cats and dogs. Nowadays I have the best of both worlds. Once weaned by their mothers, I have a companion lap cat, or dogs and puppies for people who want them.

Our passions are the disabled and senior animals- the ones that are discarded because they are not able to chase the ball or run and play like younger dogs; those who have become a ‘burden’ because they to fail to let their owners know they need to go out; or those who are blind and require a little extra time to be cared for, after all their years of faithful service to their owners.

Our best example is BUD. A one year old Sheppard mix, Bud needed to be put down because the owner tried to deliver him and when he got stuck coming out they damaged his spine. Well come by and see BUD now!  Watch him run, play, roll and his Bud spin when he gets there! But don't say “OH! Poor Bud.” Bud has the heart of a Lion and legs of steel.

Plus, Bud is the self appointed small animal caretaker here at Loving Home Rescue and Adoption.  He watches and cares for all the puppies.
